Android Visual Shell

Privacy Policy

Android Visual Shell is a utility providing detailed information about installed applications, native browser capabilities, and processes running in the system. In addition, Visual Shell enumerates environment variables, shows Java Runtime properties, displays actual data about the device storage and telephony.

To provide the abovementioned functionality, Visual Shell uses the following permissions.

ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE

This permission allows Visual Shell to monitor the flow of the network traffic and show it to you in the Telephony panel.

INTERNET

The INTERNET permission is necessary for the netcfg utility in the Linux Tools panel.

netcfg shows the list of all available network connections, e.g. lo is localhost with its loopback address (127.0.0.1), wlan profiles display information about wireless connections, etc.

READ_PHONE_STATE

The permission is used to present information about your smartphone in the Telephony panel:

  • voice calls network type - the type of radio used to transmit voice calls, e.g. it can be GSM - Global System for Mobile Communications;
  • data transmission network type - the network type currently in use on your device for data transmission, e. g. it can be UMTS - Universal Mobile Telecommunications System;
  • device ID - the unique ID of your device; for example, a smartphone in GSM networks has an IMEI - International Mobile Equipment Identity;
  • subscriber ID - your unique ID as a subscriber; in GSM networks it is an IMSI, or International Mobile Subscriber Identity;
  • network operator data - the numeric and alphabetic name of the current registered operator;
  • SIM operator data - the numeric and alphabetic names of the SIM provider;
  • SIM serial number - a unique serial number of your SIM card.

Developer of Visual Shell takes your privacy seriously and treats your personal data in full compliance with international law and national legislation. Network and device data mentioned above is not stored locally. Neither is it collected, sent over the network, shared with a third party, or stored anywhere.
